So, my new adventures at online college has landed me in yet another new process...blogging. I just commented to my husband, as computer literate as I am I have never blogged before. So, this should be an interesting adventure in to early childhood, specifically teaching adults in the early childhood field. So, I hope all my readers are as excited as I am to go on this adventure!
Nicole, we are in the same specialization, teaching adults. I am definitely excited, and happy to finally have a blog. I've been wanting to blog for a while now, but couldn't figure out what to blog about. What a perfect way to start out! I look forward to hearing more about you and your experiences.
ReplyDeleteI have 3 children also, Clair is 2 1/2, Andrew is 2, and Anthony is 18 months. Your work as a parent/provider educator sounds very interesting. Do you find you enjoy that more than working directly with children, as in your daycare setting?
I know what you mean, I have been thinking about blogging, but haven't done it until now. I think I might start one for my kids, too. A bit better than the drama of facebook! Your kids are so close together, I can't imagine how busy you are!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy working in the resource and referral side of child care rather than with the children. I feel like I can reach more children this way, by working with providers and parents to teach them little things to make children's lives better. The other way I was only touching the kids I was working with, but getting frustrated that so many parents and providers were missing the little changes that can be made. What kind of experiences do you have in child care? What type of work do you do now (although I can't imagine with three little kids you have time to work and go to school!)
